Classic Apple Crumble

Whether you’re looking for a quick and easy dessert for a family night in, or having friends over for a dinner party, you cannot go wrong with this classic recipe.
Great for any time of the year but even better in the colder months, warm Apple Crumble with a scoop of ice-cream is just pure happiness in a bowl.

Method

Crumble

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, coconut, butter and oats in a bowl.
  3. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour mixture until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  4. Spoon the stewed apple into an ovenproof dish. Scatter crumble mixture evenly over the apples. Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
  5. Spoon the apple crumble into serving bowls. Serve with ice-cream, cream or yogurt.

Stewed Apples

  1. Add all ingredients into a small saucepan over low-medium heat. Cook, stirring for 3 minutes or until apple is slightly softened.
